Your Burning Diet-Ditching Questions Answered!

burning diet-ditching questions Beth Rosen, RD

After years of being off of the vicious cycle of dieting, and helping countless clients do the same, I have to say that the freedom of eating according to what my body wants and needs, and trusting the cues that alert me to my needs lets me live my life free from food and body shame.  No longer do I obsess over calories, points, exchanges, or the like.  No longer do I wake up in the morning and set an intention to be “good” (read: restrictive), only to feel shame and guilt from failure by late afternoon.  I now have the time and space in my brain to strive for a fulfilled life that has nothing to do with my clothing size or a number on the scale.

Why am I sharing this with you?  Well…

I know there are many of you who are sick of dieting but are afraid of quitting because you think the alternative is letting go and becoming unhealthy.

I know that there are many of you who hate your body, but continue to use shame, guilt and calorie restriction to change it…and it hasn’t worked.

I know that there are many of you who have a really mean voice inside that provides a constant chatter about how gross/ugly/unworthy you are because of what your body looks like.

I know that there are many of you who skip out on social events, trips to the beach and the pool, and experiencing activities involving your body because you are waiting to participate in life when your body reaches your “ideal” size.

As someone who is on the other side, I can tell you that you are missing out on a life of happiness and peace!  If you don’t believe me, here are what some of my clients think about diet-free living.  But, if fear of the unknown holds you back from ditching dieting and experiencing body freedom, I have a solution:

Ask me your burning diet-ditching questions!

What I have found is that people aren’t so open to having a public (ie social media) conversation about their fears, doubts, and questions regarding leaving the diet world behind, but they are open to asking questions privately.

So here’s my offer:  Ask me anything!  Ask me the questions that, if answered, will help you move toward food and body peace.  Don’t ask them in the comments, and don’t ask them on Facebook or Instagram or Twitter.  Ask them through this private survey and I will answer your most burning questions about quitting dieting for good!  No question is too simple or complex.  Ask as many as you want!

My promise is this: I will do my best to answer all of your questions.  If there is a running theme through your questions, then I will write a blog post on the topic and personally let you know when it is posted to my website.

Go to the private survey and ask your questions now!  The sooner you do, the sooner you will have the answers you need to believe that diets don’t work and the residual guilt, shame, body hate are no longer serving you, and you can start to make a change to ditch dieting for good.
